Having previously published her autobiography, “Don’t Tell Me I Can’t”, Maria has now written another book describing her many travels and adventures over the years with her husband, Lindsay. The extraordinary thing about the many stories in “The Intrepid Wheelies” is that Maria and Lindsay both have cerebral palsy.
In their earlier years, they could both walk, and Lindsay could drive a car. As they aged, their needs changed, and now they require wheelchairs and carers. However, nothing has stopped their love of adventure, which includes travel and sailing.
The Intrepid Wheelies will take you around the world: to outback Australia travelling from Sydney to Uluru; representing Australia in sailing in Osaka, Italy and France; and climbing Mount Kosciuszko in a wheelchair. They have visited Buckingham Palace in London, ventured up the Eiffel Tower in Paris, and cruised to Alaska, the Pacific Islands and New Zealand.
This book is a joyful, happy account of two people who are making the most of life. The book is presently at the printer, but you can pre-order from our Shop.
