Two-thirds of United States children are now reading e-books, according to a recent study (conducted online in October, 2013 with 900 parents of children). In fact, these children are more likely to be reading e-books than adults. The researchers suggest that the increase is due to greater use of tablets in schools and more children doing their school reading assignments digitally. However, the sample size was small and likely to be biased towards parents with high online use.
