“Cheerio, Don”, Susan Alley’s most recent book, was launched in Coraki, northern NSW, in April 2015 at the Coraki Museum. Coraki was chosen as the setting for the launch because Don Mitchell, Susan’s uncle, came from Coraki, where the family had a dairy farm. The Museum was chosen because of the historical significance of the book, which tells the story of Don’s experiences while serving in the Militia during World War II.
The launch was very successful, with good book sales and a positive reception from those who attended the launch.
