Rebecca Cassandra Shaw

Rebecca Cassandra Shaw was born in Sydney in 1954. She attended St. Vincents College and Willoughby Girls School until she was 17. She worked for the Commonwealth Bank, Yellow Pages and General Motors Corporation. After family trips to Europe and Asia, in 1984, her family moved to Cairns, Far North Queensland, and she worked in tourism. In 1987, she started work for the Mulgrave Shire Council, managing the Stratford Library, a career path that lasted for 25 years, retiring in 2012.

Rebecca and her husband, Chris, now live in a peaceful retirement village in Cairns and count their blessings daily. During her retirement, Rebecca indulged in her two interests, cross-stitching and the history of Tudor Royalty, and produced a collection of 12 exquisite cross-stitch works of the Tudor Royal family. This collection is described in her e-book, The Rebecca Cassandra Shaw Tudor Cross-stitch Collection.
