Vale James Farrell

At Jabiru Publishing we were very saddened to hear of the passing of one of our first memoir authors. James Farrell passed away on Friday 22 September 2023. He will be very much missed by his loving family and many friends.

James’ memoir, “Headmaster Not Eaten”, is an account of his travels to many parts of the globe as an eminent educationalist, visiting and working in countries such as New Guinea, Indonesia, Swaziland, Uganda, Pakistan, Singapore and the United States. James was the perfect gentleman, but had the added advantages of having a wry sense of humour and being an acute observer of human nature in its many forms.

Following his distinguished career, James settled with his family in Cairns, North Queensland. It has been my great privilege to have known James as both author and friend, and to have published his book.
